Co-lead five-week music and medicine class series. Experiences focused on promoting wellness through creative expression and stress management in positive and safe environment. Scripps Health- The Facilitated Music Therapy sessions for residents in a 28-day inpatient substance abuse treatment program. Interventions focused on learning alternative coping skills, creative expressions, positive and supportive group socialization. T.E.R.I., Inc.- Children and Adults with Developmental and Learning Disabilities Facilitated group Music Therapy sessions with clients at day program for adults with mental retardation or developmental delays. Interventions focused on increasing on-task behavior, improving social skills (i.e. turn-taking), facilitating exercise and improving communication. Lakeview Hospice- Palliative Care Facilitated weekly individual Music Therapy sessions with client(s) facing end-of-life care. Interventions focused on comfort/support, normalization of environment, and pain management techniques. One-on-one Music Therapy services with an adult client diagnosed with Rett Syndrome. Interventions focused on improving communication, choice-making skills, and facilitating fine and gross motor movement.
