:Services:
ASL is said to be the fourth most commonly used language in the United States. Whether
you or your child is hearing, Deaf, Hard of Hearing, or recently implanted with a cochlear implant, Project Communicate is here to help with ASL acquisition in a positive and enriching environment.
Project Communicate
provides Music Therapy services to address physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of individuals of all ages. Music therapists complete a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD program (in addition to a 6-month clinical internship) at one of the American Music Therapy association’s accredited universities. Following curricula, Music Therapists pass the national certification exam and hold the music therapist-board certified credential (MT-BC).
Project Communicate is proud to introduce consultant Elizabeth McGuire, CCC-SLP as part of the Project Communicate family. Elizabeth's background in Speech and Language Pathology will assist in your child's speech and/or sign language development through the interdisciplinary approach of Music Therapy and Speech and Language Pathology interventions through a culturo-linguistic model. This model enhances collective interaction within each child and his/her surrounding environment, both hearing and Deaf/Hard of Hearing. |
